Valeria Huerta is a Senior Agent at ACM UK, having joined the agency in 2024. Prior to this, she spent eight successful years running her own agency, specialising in lifestyle, health, and personal development titles. During her career, she has represented notable authors, including Sophie Sabbage, author of the Sunday Times bestseller The Cancer Whisperer; Jasmine Hemsley, whose book East by West won a Hearst Big Book Award; and Chloe Brotheridge, whose The Anxiety Solution also became a bestseller.
Valeria holds a BA in Languages and Literature from the University of Bologna and a Master in Philosophy and Cultural Heritage from the University Ca' Foscari Venezia. Her publishing career began in Rome, where she sold foreign rights and later worked as a commissioner at Fazi Editore. There, she published the Italian edition of The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer and pioneered the European release of works by renowned Argentine authors, including Samanta Schweblin and Alan Pauls.
In London, Valeria further honed her expertise as a rights manager at Faber and Faber, followed by roles at Hachette, Hodder & Stoughton, Headline, John Murray, and Quercus. Valeria was named the Bookseller's Shooting Star in recognition of her standout publishing talent.
Valeria is passionate about expanding her non-fiction list, working with thought leaders, experts and visionaries to craft books that inspire a wiser and healthier world. Her focus is on representing high-quality zeitgeisty narrative non-fiction that will become future classics.
Fluent in five languages, Valeria is also uncovering new voices in translated fiction and is eager to expand her list to include a carefully curated selection of music and poetry.
